Grade 2

We had another great week in second grade. Second graders started math and handwriting. This week we will add spelling and reading workshop.

During reading workshop this week we will be building stamina! I will be reading with each child so I can hear their reading and then next week I will start guided reading groups.

We will also continue to build class community and getting to know each other!

On Friday, I read the book, "Sticks". This is one of my favorite books. It leads to great discussions and creativity.  

Sticks:  A story that almost anyone can relate to. It's about finding yourself in a situation that didn't turn out like you expected and having your friends and family help you find he courage to pick yourself back up and persevere.
