What is happening in third grade?

We have been busy, busy, busy...

Third, Fourth, and Fifth grade has had so much fun getting ready for our first intermediate musical! We are so proud of them.

Please read the news letter that went home about costumes and play times. YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS PLAY!!

In writing we have been working on paragraph writing. We made a hamburger paragraph sample for our writing notebooks. Next week we will continue lessons and writing practice. Third grade is also having fun writing individual stories and partner stories.

Reading has continued to be one of favorite parts of the day. They have been buddy reading and journaling together. We had a lesson on abandoning books that may not be our favorite. Our next reading assignment will be a book and a book project to follow.

Our next social studies unit will start the week after our play. We will be learning about Native Americans.
