March 22

Second grade has been VERY busy. I am so impressed at how hard they are working and the amount of work we can get done in a day. We have done lots of reading, writing, and math.

We will also finish our map unit in the next week or so.

Here are some highlights:

Here are some Dr. Seuss project inspired by, "Mulberry Street" and "If I Ran the Zoo".

Second graders said a BIG thank you to your lunch ladies last week! Cora L. noticed that our lunch ladies work very hard and felt we needed to say thank you! Again, another reason why I am so proud of these second graders! We might have made Sue and Betsy cry...happy tears!

We had a visit from the Leprechaun on the 17th. He left some chocolate treats and some fun math!

Last week we made globes and a BIG mess. It was lots of fun and we learned about the continents and the oceans.

March 6, 2021

The month of March we will be doing lots of books and book projects. This is in celebration of Read Across America. It is also a great way to get second graders enjoying books and thinking a bit deeper!

Last week we read, Bad Case of Stripes. This is one of my all time favorite books and the kids always like it.

Second Graders made a full body poster of themselves with a bad case of something of their choice. Here is the start of their project. Stayed tuned for the finished product.
