 Week of October 26

Second Grade

Second Graders had an AWESOME week! It was full of fun and lots of learning.

We are finishing our personal narratives and turning them into "real" books. I am very impressed with their writing. They are so excited to make them into books!

We also did a great job on our Unit 2 math test.

Second graders also finished learning about habitats. Our next unit will be on Native Americans!

Here are some pictures of our week:

Week of October 19th

Second Grade

Our weeks and days are flying by so quickly. Second graders are working very hard. We have been working on Personal Narratives. I am so proud of them. This week we are editing our final copies. At the request of your children we are going to make them into books with covers and illustrations!

We will finish our science unit on animal habitats this week. The children have made pictures of the pond and the forest. We have learned some great new facts about both habitats.

Math is one of our favorite times of day. We have some incredible math thinkers. They amaze me daily!

Here are some pictures of your hard working children:

Painting the background for our scary stories.

Researching pond animals.

Creating a pond scene.

The scary story creation!

 One more activity...

We read the Sticks by Diane Alber. If you have not read this book check it out. It is a very cute book about a popsicle stick. It is about being finding yourself and changing your plan when things don't go as you expected.

Second Graders then created with sticks...
