Week of 10/5

Second graders have had a great week. We have done lots of reading! They are doing a great job reading from their books boxes, guided reading, and epic. Thank you so much for reading with your children at home. 

We are also writing a personal narrative. They have been watching lessons on how to write a personal narrative and I am so pleased with their progress. They have brain stormed many ideas and have put together a plan. Our next lesson is on writing and introduction.

Second grade read the book, Gum Trouble! Of course we had to practice blowing bubbles!

In science we have been studying animal adaptations and habitats. They were given materials and had to design their own bird feeders. I think we may have some engineers in the future.

After we finished our bird feeders Mrs. Libby show us how to get sunflower seeds from our school garden!
