Third grade had another awesome week!
We are starting to settle into our routine. I think we finally have a schedule!

This week third graders took two NWEA tests. It was so nice to take them in our class on our own chrome books. We will finish testing on Tuesday!

Next week is our first full week. The children have done a great job during our reading block. During reading next week we will start, The Chocolate Touch. Third graders love this book. The children will do many activities and answer comprehension questions as we read along.

Our first unit in social studies is Maps and Landforms. We will focus on our community and map skills. If anyone has any information on the history of Veazie we would love to have you share it with us!

On Monday, they will come home with their first spelling list. We work on spelling throughout the week and have a test on Friday.

Please keep an eye out for homework. Third graders have done a great job returning their math homework. It would be great to help them become responsible for putting their homework in their folder and getting it into their backpack.

Date to remember:
Sept. 15th- Open House/Spaghetti Dinner
Sept 21st- Picture Day

I am so happy to be working with your children. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I have some pretty cool third graders!
