September 18th
Here are some highlights of our week:

We started our interactive notebook for social studies!

We had fun using the Lego We Do kits for the first time! They did an awesome job and it was so fun to listen to the excitement!

On Friday, we read Enemy Pie! We made predictions, answered comprehension questions, and made our own Enemy Pie...YUMMMMM!

Third Grade News
Mrs. Humphrey

Dear Parents,

We have had an AWESOME full week of third grade!
Third graders worked very hard this week and I could not be prouder!

Math has gone very well. I am so pleased with their effort. Congratulations to all my third graders for turning in their homework!

We did lots of writing this week. Third graders wrote about their favorite summer memory, journal writing and letter writing. Needless to say their hands have been tired :)

Third graders also added handwriting, spelling and social studies to their week. We started our map unit and did our first spelling unit. Friday was our first spelling test.

The big news of the week…We finished NWEA testing!

It was great to see all you at our open house!

Please check out our blog at veaziecs.org.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Sept. 21- Picture day!

Have a great weekend,
Holly
