Third Grade Thinkers

Wow, where is the time going?? I can NOT believe we are planning end of the year events and counting down to summer. I can't even express enough how much I have enjoyed this year and working with your children!

The intermediate wing is full of monsters!! Yes, our musical is in full swing and we are having a BLAST! The kids are amazing. Third graders are loving our new lego wedo2 kits. Again, this is another activity that I watch in amazement. It is so fun when I can learn from my students! They work with these kits with confidence and have NO fear of making a mistake. They push themselves and challenge themselves to make harder builds every time!

In Science this week we learned a very important scientific lesson. Third grade learned how to Design, Build, and Refine. This was really hard them to follow. They had strict rules to draw a design to stop water from flooding their city. After drawing their design they had to build and stick to the plan. It was fun to watch them struggle but learn from this activity. In the end we had some very successful design and a great learning activity. I was very impressed with their hard work and their group effort!

Friday was a little sad for third grade. We said "good-bye" to Ms. Cloutier. We will miss her, but we are so happy for her and her graduation day! Ms. Cloutier taught us all a lot and she will be an AWESOME teacher!

Please look out for a list of play props and costumes we may need help with! We will send the list so you can check your closets and home for items you may have that we could borrow!!
