Happy Thanksgiving

I am sitting here on Thanksgiving morning thinking about how lucky I am to be working at such a great school! I am thankful that I get to teach such wonderful children and work with great families!

This week was short, but very busy and lots of fun. We finished our Plymouth Colony Simulation and we are all a little sad it had to end. We also finished our "good fit" books in reading. In November, we will read books by Kate DiCamillo. We are going to read her books and compare them to each other. Her books have a wide variety of levels and topics so it will be fun. We will also be learning about different types of poetry and write some of our own!

Her are some highlights of our week:

We made pumpkin bread and banana bread!

The boys are the best chefs!

We played a game that the Pilgrim children played called, "The Bowl Game." They had a blast!

Sarah and Kris were very serious about their game!

Halle and Rachel planning their strategy!

Thomas and Tristan tested their skills!

All you need are almonds, toothpicks, and a bowl!

Nick Dylan, Camden, Keegan, and Thomas played a pretty competitive game!











Third grade then enjoyed a feast provided by all of our very generous families! Thank you all so very much!
