Third Grade Update

It has been awhile since I have updated all of the fun we have been having. Time is going by way too fast!

Since the last time I have updated third grade has performed an awesome musical, went to hear the Bangor Symphony, had a visit from fire fighter Pete, has the spring concert, went to the Riverfest, taken NWEA test,  Sarah Hartford and Duncan Carlisle won a bike...phewwww!

Among all these special activities we have managed to continue writing great stories and reading a lot! We have one chapter left in our math book! This week we will finish our last chapter and take the end of the year test.

In science we have been learning about life cycles. Her are some great pictures of all of our activities:

Third graders researched adult plants and the seed they came from.

We also examined lima beans. We planted lima beans, black beans, grass seed, and pinto beans. We put them in the shade for 3 days and then in the sun and recorded their growth.

After about 10 days we had some pretty big plants growing!

This week we are starting a unit on Native Americans. I think the kids will have fun! I am still in shock the school year is almost over. I have truly enjoyed working with your children!
